Scrapbooking: Birth-college

Hey guys! I decided to do some posts about scrapbooking so this will be a little series.  I’ve always loved scrapbooking and taking photos.  I used to sit and look through family albums for hours!  My mom kept tons of photos and made several albums, the first of which is my baby book which I just found in a box in my dad’s garage (he was sweet enough to drive these boxes all the way from Wisconsin).  My mom kept detailed records of baby showers, my hospital bracelet and announcement of birth, my first movie ticket stub, letters from family, and even my first tooth so it’s really special looking back at all this.

My very first scrapbook that I made myself was a collection of all my stickers (Lisa Frank, hello!)  I made a few more in college then one for graduation and my first trip to Colorado with my friend after graduation.  I just love having all these memories stored.  Scrapbooks are such good reminders of the moments, big and small, that make your life what it is.  How about you, do you keep scrapbooks? xoxo JessicaDSC_0067 DSC_0001Me and my mom coming home from the hospital

Ten photos: Day 5

I can’t believe I missed a day of blogging yesterday!  I was busy shopping in Dallas and, that’s it, I got busy shopping:)  Fall weather is definitely upon us here now, it’s falling into the 60’s and the leaves have turned their colors.  I’m really loving it!  Being from Wisconsin but living in the south for the last almost 5 years I’m still getting used to the seasons here; they are much harder to decipher but I do love the changes it brings.  Here are 10 photos about fall (yep, more leaves but they are so pretty in B&W don’t you think?)

Cloudy day

Hello Monday!

The weather is changing here and it’s going down from the 70s/80s to the 60s this week-yay for sweater weather!  Today is super cloudy and rainy so my pictures (taken with my iPhone) are dark and grainy, but I kinda like how it matches up with outside;)  Since one of my goals is to start sewing I had to clean up my craft room to make room so I took a couple pictures of that mess.  Other than that it’s been a chill day at home with the animals and the hubby.  It’s a great night for popcorn and reading-hope you had a lovely weekend as well!

I curled my hair by myself for the first time pretty much ever
