Ten photos: Day 5

I can’t believe I missed a day of blogging yesterday!  I was busy shopping in Dallas and, that’s it, I got busy shopping:)  Fall weather is definitely upon us here now, it’s falling into the 60’s and the leaves have turned their colors.  I’m really loving it!  Being from Wisconsin but living in the south for the last almost 5 years I’m still getting used to the seasons here; they are much harder to decipher but I do love the changes it brings.  Here are 10 photos about fall (yep, more leaves but they are so pretty in B&W don’t you think?)

Ten photos: Day 4

Today I’m super excited because my mom#2 is in Dallas on business! We’re going to meet for lunch and shop around for a couple hours; the bff is coming along too:)  I haven’t seen my mom#2 since our wedding in June so I’m off to get ready!  Happy Wednesday ya’ll! Enjoy these photos I took of some pretty leaves I gathered on my walk, I kinda like them all;)

Cloudy day

Hello Monday!

The weather is changing here and it’s going down from the 70s/80s to the 60s this week-yay for sweater weather!  Today is super cloudy and rainy so my pictures (taken with my iPhone) are dark and grainy, but I kinda like how it matches up with outside;)  Since one of my goals is to start sewing I had to clean up my craft room to make room so I took a couple pictures of that mess.  Other than that it’s been a chill day at home with the animals and the hubby.  It’s a great night for popcorn and reading-hope you had a lovely weekend as well!

I curled my hair by myself for the first time pretty much ever

Ten Photos

1-4 taken in the park near our house. 5 our backyard tree that survived the drought. 6 our dogs looking for the next door beagle through the fence. 7-8 horse apples in the park. 9 blt lunch. 10 the trail to the park.

Hi all!  This week, or rather for ten days, I’m challenging myself to take pictures daily and post ten of them here.

I have always loved photography and took a few classes in high school.  My grandfather was a great photographer and I love looking at those old photos of my dad, aunt, uncles and grandmother.  When I graduated high school my grandmother even gave me my grandpas camera (he had died suddenly when I was 17), but I found in college I didn’t have much time to keep photographing things.  Of course I took a few rolls of my cats when I first got them as kittens in college but other than that I felt it was a hobby I didn’t have time for, unfortunately.

I’m learning that in life you have to make time, set aside and focus yourself, dedicate even, to those hobbies, the things you love.  Thus my blog here.  I’m ready to do that.  It might not come naturally for me to have that discerning “eye” but I certainly am learning and love pressing down the shutter button when I feel inspired.

These are all taken with my iPhone and the ones that are edited I did with the Afterglow app (which I’m luvin’).  Happy trails ya’ll!

I need to mention today as I’m finishing this post that it is a sad day for my husband’s family as they grieve the loss of his grandmother.  My heart and prayers are with you all *Love Jess
