Hi all! I have been longing to get back to blogging but I still haven’t decided how to add more space on here, so as of now, I still can’t add any more photos, but I do have lots of projects to share when I do! I guess I’m just enjoying the fall weather here lately, reading, cooking, and enjoying our dogs. My sister’s wedding is coming up in a few weeks so I’m also preparing for that. Here are some pics I meant to share a long time ago but I do enjoy keeping them around longer to get the feeling like I’m back in Florida on the beach. These are my favorite pics of the clouds in the evenings; so so gorgeous. Here are some more from our Florida trip if you’d like to see. Hope we all have a lovely rest of the week! We’re going to check out the new Thor movie this weekend so I’m excited for that. what are ya’ll up to these days?

These were taken a couple weeks ago when we went to see my stepmom in dallas for dinner. The NYLO hotel was really sleek and modern. Other than that life is relaxed and easy lately. My brother is in town for a visit which is keeping me entertained and busy cooking for two men! On another note I can’t believe it’s September already. My little sister is getting married in three months and I’m getting excited! Xo Jessica
why i love the (dallas) zoo
I have always loved animals as far back as I can remember. The first job I ever wanted was marine biologist, photo-journalist, then vet, then to own my very own zoo. so cute huh. not sure how I ended up working in social services except I suppose I applied my ability to empathize to the human race as well. I haven’t gone to a zoo for over 4 years so I told the hubs it was time for a little date day the other weekend. I was happily surprised at how much I still enjoy visiting and learning about animals. Especially Gypsy, this sweet lil african elephant. Her tail was bitten off by a bull years ago so she has a little nub. And thusly, she reminds me of my kitty of the same name, Gypsy, who has a crooked and short tail! small world hee hee. Here’s a look at our Dallas zoo. (all photos taken by me:)
Gypsy, the African Elephant (so cute right?!) Loved this guy! Never been so close to a giraffe like this, amazing! I chickened out on feeding them but how sweet is this girl?
this gorilla was just chillin doing some yoga poses. feels good!
seriously scary crocs! another fave moment: this chimp hooting as us right before throwing a decent sized rock (look in his right hand) at the wall! they have amazing gestures + facial expressions! Flamingos have always been a fave of mine albino crocs apparently don’t live long in the wild due to their inability to camoflauge these snakes are gorgeous (behind glass that is) So that’s that my friends. How do you like the zoo?
Ten photos: Day 2
Hello Monday!
The weather is changing here and it’s going down from the 70s/80s to the 60s this week-yay for sweater weather! Today is super cloudy and rainy so my pictures (taken with my iPhone) are dark and grainy, but I kinda like how it matches up with outside;) Since one of my goals is to start sewing I had to clean up my craft room to make room so I took a couple pictures of that mess. Other than that it’s been a chill day at home with the animals and the hubby. It’s a great night for popcorn and reading-hope you had a lovely weekend as well!
